Latin 1-2

Culture Activity Spring Semester

Choose a cultural aspect of Classical Civilization or the Latin Language that interests you. It could be the linguistic history of Latin, a demonstration of creating a proper toga, or making and eating Roman food. Regardless, think about what you would like to explore further and complete the following activity for an assigned date. Some sources that you could use are: your textbook, the previous semesters culture activity sheets, the Internet, or some of Mrs. Fines classroom resources. Topics will not be repeated, so first come, first served! Students may work with a partner, or individually. The class looks forward to your work!

  1. Design a fact sheet for your topic. It should be 1-2 pages long, and include an annotated bibliography of at least 3 sources.
  2. Create a 10-20 minute demonstration or presentation of your topic. Props are suggested, but not necessary. Presentations should include a typed outline for Mrs. Fine to follow.
  3. Design a worksheet or puzzle to use later in the year for a review of your topic.

As always, your work must NOT be plagiarized! If you do not know what this means or how to avoid plagiarizing someone elses work, please ask Mrs. Fine! Anyone who plagiarizes their activity will receive an automatic zero on their activity and be referred to the administration.

This activity is worth 100 points.
