For instance, when adding an adjective to modify puella,
you can choose either a 1st or 3rd declension noun. The resulting declension charts will look

NB- in 3rd declension, adjectives end with an –i
in both the dative and ablative singular, unlike regular 3rd
declension nouns; otherwise, adjectives are declined the same way as nouns.
